Please use the form "Registration", you will receive it from your nearest branch office of the Gebietskrankenkasse. Fill it in and sign it soon after arrival
Your AuPair from your local health insurance office.

2. Health Insurance

Self-insurance via the regional health insurance:

Your AuPair will certainly receive the best protection from the Austrian health insurance funds and will be the holder of the e-card for a limited time of stay and of course only when paying the monthly premiums.

Voluntary self-insurance can be applied for before you arrive at GKK, but this can only be started after arrival of the AuPairs and registration of the main residence, as well as the registration of employment (Sozialversicherung.at).

This means you need a private insurance solution from the departure in the home country until the self-insurance at the GKK was effectively started. This private insurance solution must be chosen before the visa application of the AuPairs in the home country embassy. In addition, we recommend that you hand over a declaration from AuPair Done at the time of the visa application in the home country to the Austrian authorities, in which you confirm as AuPair, immediately to self-insurance with the regional health insurance after arrival and not cancel the private health insurance in advance to To be insured until you are insured with the regional health insurance.

Statutory accident insurance:

Regardless of whether you have chosen the regional health insurance as a health insurer, or an approved private AuPair insurance (eg Care Concept XL), the AuPair must be registered for statutory accident insurance. Please use the form "Registration", you will receive it from your nearest branch office of the Gebietskrankenkasse. Fill it in and sign it soon after arrival
Your AuPair from your local health insurance office.

The monthly contribution to the self-insurance with the GKK amounts since 1.1.2018 € 61.83 (paid the AuPair). The monthly contribution to the statutory accident insurance / SV contribution amounts since 1.1.2018 approx. € 19 (paid the family). The self-insurance or private health insurance must be paid by the AuPair. The contribution to the statutory accident insurance is at the expense of the host family. Voluntary services of the host family are possible!
